When the sky lit up for the Blast Off in the Basin fireworks show, the vibrant display was about much more than a summer celebration. Organized by the City of Las Vegas and Ward 4 Councilwoman Francis Allen-Palenske, this annual Fourth of July event gathered the community at local parks to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. While the gathering marked a massive national milestone, this specific coverage is dedicated in loving memory to LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi, a true hero who made the ultimate sacrifice for our city. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, his loved ones, and the entire Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. We will not forget his service.

Fireworks Show starts at 7:40.
